How to choose a used coffee machine
A good used machine from a well-known maker will serve you for years. A few tips on what to look for.
Fully automatic coffee machines are built to last, and many of them keep working like new long after their first owner. A used machine lets you get a better class of machine for a fraction of the price of a new one.
What to look for
What you drink. If you like cappuccino or latte, choose a machine with a milk jug or frother.
How much. A compact machine is enough at home; an office needs a bigger water tank and a sturdier machine.
Parts and service. For common brands — such as Nivona, Melitta, Philips, Saeco, DeLonghi and Jura — spare parts are easy to find.
Seeing it. If you can, look at the machine in person and ask how it has been looked after.
After you buy
Regular cleaning and descaling is the best way to make a machine last. You will find care products and parts in our shop, and if something goes wrong, our service centre can help.
Used machines are in the Used coffee machines section, and you can also see them at our showroom at Kārļa Ulmaņa gatve 1.
